About

I was born in Minnedosa, Manitoba.  The past 45 years of my life have been spent taking various classes in Figure drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics and mixed media.  I started classes at the Brandon Allied Art Centre then to Winnipeg’s Art Forum Institute; Banff School of Fine Arts; Toronto’s Ontario College of Art and Three Schools; Calgary’s Alberta College of Art, University of Calgary and Mount Royal College.

My paintings portray private moments of ordinary life with intimacy and a sense of humour.  I want the expressions and gestures I portray to reveal the fullness of personality that has touched me---and hope it touches a chord in each viewer.  I try to reveal the honesty of character I see camouflaged by the banality of the poses.

I currently work out of my studio at:
Artpoint
1139 Adelaide Street S.E.
Calgary, Alberta T2G 3G1
