The Little Mermaid Story

Most of all she enjoyed hearing about the world above the sea. She would ask her grandmother again and again to tell her about men and ships and animals.

She liked to hear about flowers you could smell and creatures called birds that flew through the trees.

“When you are fifteen, you can rise to the surface of the sea and see all these things for yourself,” said her grandmother.
